Try again & rescue order

If a card payment fails, the card payment button in POS will turn red. Click it, and a popup will appear with options on how to proceed.

  • The payment may have gone through, but the cash register didn't update.
  • Therefor it's recommended to press Try again to send the same transaction to the terminal again, allowing the cash register to confirm the payment.
  • If the payment didn't go through the customer will be asked to use their card again.
  • If the card has insufficient funds or doesn't work, press Fetch order. This returns the articles to the cart so you can choose another payment method (e.g. cash)

Rescue order

If the terminal approves a transaction but OPEN One does not update, the system will try to fix it using the payment application (PA).

With the new pinpad protocol:

  • The order status updates automatically when the terminal restarts.
  • Do not press Fetch order or Try again.

With older terminals (Swedbank, old pinpad protocol):

  • After restarting, press Try again to fetch the transaction status.
  • If the terminal detects that the last payment wasn’t handled correctly, it will show a dialog with instructions. It may also give you the option to reverse the transaction (for example, if the customer already paid another way).
