Set up your cashier worflow
When managing an online order in your cash register, you will move it between a set of steps, from accepting a pending to completing it.
Let's go through how you set up the best workflow for your business in a few easy steps.
Step 1: Navigate to 'Cashier workflow'
- Sign in: Log in to BackOffice.
- Go to 'Cashier worflow' page: In the left-hand menu, go to: Online order → Cashier workflow.

Step 2: Decide order flow
Customize your order flow by setting which steps should be active and what color they should have. The steps will appear as columns on your cash register, when manageing online orders.
- Use the checkboxes in the Active column to enable or disable a step.
- In the preview of your order board, you will see how steps are shown or hidden when enabled/disabled.

TIP
Note that the steps Accepted and Completed are mandatory, and that the Pending step can only be disabled from the cash register, by enabling 'Auto-accept'.

Step 3: Use 'Confirm dialog' for more control over moving orders
As moving an order to the next step is irreversible, you can enable a 'Confirm dialog' that will ask the user to confirm the action. This can prevent moving an order by mistake, but also adds a button click to the user flow.
- Use the checkboxes in the Confirm dialog column to enable the dialog.

Step 3: Save your changes
Remember to save your settings using the button at the top of the page once you're done.
